Tandav: Security Stationed Outside Saif Ali Khan’s Home Amid Outrage Over Web Series; Politician Files Complaint Against The Makers
Recently, a section of people on social media have been expressing their outrage over Saif Ali Khan starrer web series ‘Tandav’. This was Ali Abbas Zafar’s debut web series and it has landed in some trouble as Netizens have been demanding for a ban on the web series, and alleging it of hurting religious sentiments. On Sunday, the paparazzi captured a police van stationed outside Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s old house amid outrage over Tandav. Kareena and Saif are in the process of moving into their new home.

Meanwhile, according to ANI, BJP MLA Ram Kadam has filed a complaint against the makers of Tandav at the Ghatkopar police station in Mumbai. Times Of India reported that the politician also protested against the web series, calling for its boycott. While speaking to ANI, he reportedly said, “Strict against should be taken against the actor, director and producer of the web series.” Meanwhile, BJP MP Manoj Kotak wrote to Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, and requested him to ban the series.

“It seems that makers of Tandav have deliberately mocked Hindu Gods & disrespected Hindu religious sentiments," he wrote in the letter. In the letter he also wrote that OTT shows are "full of sex, violence, drugs, abuse and hate (and) sometimes also hurt sentiments of Hindus." 


Tandav stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Kumud Mishra, among others. It premiered on Amazon Prime Video on January 15.
